THE TEMPLE OF AGIA THEODORA
The temple of Saint Theodora, built in the 10th century B.C., is found in the municipality of Andania. According to a local legend, the teardrops of the Saint turned into a river and her hair into trees. Seventeen trees between 200 and 250 years old, lean against the roof of the temple, offering the visitor an astonishing spectacle.
THE HOLY ABBEY OF VOULKANO
The Holy Abbey of Voulkano, which is found in the municipal apartment of Maurommati (Municipality of Ithomi), was founded the 725 D.C. and houses the holy thaumaturge icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is distinguished in the old and the new Abbey. There is also a small museum, with various valued objects that the pilgrim can visit.

It is located in the municipal apartment of Christianoupoli (Municipality of Filiatra) and constitutes one of the most important Byzantine monuments of Messenia as far as its architecture is considered.
THE HOLY TEMPLE OF SAMARINA
It has been built on an ancient temple, dedicated to goddess Rea, and is found in the municipal apartment of Kalogerrorachi in the Municipality of Androusa. It constitutes an important monument of Byzantine architecture, in the architectural style of "Cross-in-Square", and is dedicated in Blessed Maria the Egyptian.
